In this course learners will learn how to use Excel to describe data, use PivotTables to group and analyze data, and use statistical functions to better understand what the data is telling them. Learners will learn fundamental business statistics such as descriptive statistics functions to determine central tendency and variability. Learners will learn statistical terminology such as population, sample, parameter, statistic, quantitative, qualitative, discrete, continuous variables. Learners will gain an understanding of univariate, bivariate and multivariate analysis and what analysis approach should be used based on the business questions that are being asked. Learners will learn how to use histogram, Pareto and box & whiskers charts to display data frequency/distribution.
